$30 + Trader Joes = Happy Alicia

This weekend I spent some time with some of my favorites {Heather & Emily} and lunched at Bountiful Bread in Albany (I could swim in a bowl of the tomato soup). I love spending time with these ladies! We could seriously lunch and grocery shop for hours. Is that not everyone’s idea of a good time? I went to Trader Joes without a list and only put the stuff that looked really really good in my cart. Somehow I spent under $30!

Two of my favorite things (Powerberries & Precut Butternut Squash) and a snack for my mister.

So far I have roasted the butternut squash and had the greens along with dinner. The apples are pretty good but seem to be a bit beat up. The espresso pillows, powerberries and cereal bars are all really good! The “british muffins” have been reallly good. A have been loving them PB & J as an after work snack.  I have not tried the chicken dumplings  or mac n’ cheese yet, but I have a feeling they will come in handy soon!

I am totally stocked up on peanut butter or I would have picked up some, I also didn’t really look at the beer.

There is always next time!

What is your favorite thing to buy at Trader Joes? OR Whole Foods?

We don’t have one of those yet Sad smile

  1. Oh gosh I love SO many things from both stores! We have a TJ about an hour away, but a WF just around the corner! I love so many things from both places, it’s hard to narrow it down! I try to head down to TJ once a month, and hit up WF for fresh fish almost weekly.

  2. I have a Trader Joe’s gift card that has been burning a hole in my pocket since Christmas. We just haven’t had the chance to take the hour and a half journey in either direction to use it. I was planning on hitting up Hadley, but our store doesn’t have alcohol, so now I’m reconsidering (thanks for mentioning the beer!) I’m looking forward to stocking up on interesting cheese, fruit leather and any kind of chocolate covered nuts.

  3. Thai Peanut Vinaigrette! and any candy. Trader Joe’s is a “traitor” to my sweet tooth ;/

    • I will have to pick up a bottle the next time I go!! I have heard good things! Ugh, the powerberries are my favorite. SO GOOD!
