When it comes to food prep, I always think “WOW, What a great idea to get a great start on the week!” And then usually let it go until it is Sunday at 8pm and think, “well, there is always next week”. Lucky for me, I got my food prep on last Sunday and felt the benefits of it all week long! Seeing that I was food prepping for myself only, and only prepped breakfast and lunch, it didn’t take long.

I am pretty easy when it comes to packing food for work. I don’t mind bringing the same thing for a couple of days. Having the veggies prepped and the soup made was super convenient, especially when I came down with a cold! I have been playing around with a new Crock Pot app for my iPad and have been LOVING it. I have made a few things so far, including Spicy Shredded Chicken (perfect for tacos or taco salads) and Pasta Fagioli Soup I made for my lunches. The app is very easy to use and fun to play with. There are different ways to search for recipes, and new downloadable content every month.
Everything about the app is self explanatory and easy to use. Having the step by step guide is a great feature for multipart recipes. I love the “my notes” feature as well. A great option to have for possible recipe tweaks or reminders. I made a BIG pot of this soup and have been enjoying it all week! This recipe is a fun tool to have around for lazy Sunday dinners and busy work days when you want nothing to do with the kitchen when you get home. I would highly recommend this app to anyone!
