Maine 2011

Chris and I had a fantastic time in Maine this year! Not only did we have a-m-a-z-i-n-g weather (80′s & 90′s!) but we had amazing company. His parents, cousins and grandparents were there – so lots of chatting and floating happened. A friend from across the lake had an awesome 10 person float where many lovely hours and tasty drinks were consumed. 8-)

We had the best time- I finally finished rereading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (on the kindle!), Buddy swam his little heart out, and I have a tan for the first time in what seems like years!

Sadly, there were no moose sightings this trip! Oh well- there is always next year! :)

Summer Vacation!

Hello All! Currently,  Chris and I are making the 8 hour drive to Maine! We will be spending lots of time swimming in the lakemoose hunting, and enjoying time off the grid. I will be back on Tuesday with lots of fun adventures to post about!!

Have a relaxing Sunday!

Hi Everyone!
Today is the last Sunday before the real world (aka school) starts again. This is my last semester before I graduate with my Bachelors.. So I am eager to get started!
Today I revamped my 101 goals in 1001 days list… feel free to check it out here, or here.
Here a few pictures from the downtime we had in Maine..
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Moose on the Loose!

While we were in Maine, we always keep our eyes out for Moose. They are the goofiest looking creatures. One of the fun things we do in Maine is “Moose Hunting” aka getting ice-cream and then driving around in the middle of nowhere looking for them. This year we only saw one! But I managed to take pictures!

And of course the ice-cream…

My Flurry is on the right, plain soft serve with M&M’s

The world is my oyster.. or my lobster..?

So… I had my first Lobster!

I had never had an actual lobster. Never a FULL BLOWN, still staring back at you kind of lobster.
It went from looking like the picture above.. to this lovely discombobulated creature below.
It was good. Or maybe it was the butter I dipped it in that was good. Hard to tell.
I found the process a little gross, and the whole cracking it open thing a tad traumatizing.
Oh well, we were in Maine! And thats what your supposed to do right??
Question of the day:
How do you feel about lobster? I’m still on the fence!
