This weekend I had quite the experience!
I am not one that generally listens to country music, but this Saturday I somehow found myself at country fest. Chris’s cousin turned 17 on July 4th, she is a fan of country music and was given tickets to go. None of her friends were able to make it on short notice, so I went with her, her mom and Brenda (Chris’s mom)! It was one crazy ride. You can see some really crazy people at events like these! I swear, I felt over dressed in a tank top and shorts! Who knew that bikini tops and unbuttoned shorts was go-to attire? Attendance soared over 60,000 people, We arrived at around 1:30 and then stood in line to get in (with tickets) for about another hour.
This was us at the end of the line- it goes allll the way up and then over to the left.
I also indulged in some fried dough. I may still have powdered sugar on my face.
In the end it was a pretty awesome Saturday. I got to spend some time with some of my favorite people (Brenda, Cheryl & Tori!) and did some pretty serious people watching. I don’t know if I will volunteer to go to country fest again, but it was quite the experience!
Sorry for the blurry pictures, all I had with me was my cellphone!
