The Firecracker 4 was the Wednesday and it was great! I ran the race well and am proud of how I did. I forgot my garmin (oye!) but my official time was 43:25… 2 minutes faster than last year! It was super hot out, but crowd support was awesome. My good friend Heather was running it with me (it was her first race!) and she did amazing. I am so proud of her!
After the race we hung out in the pool and relaxed the hot morning away. At around 4 Heather, Jasmine and myself decided it was time to get up and do something! Heather had never been to Lake George before, so we made a quick trip up! We were able to drive up most of Prospect Mountain and take some pretty pictures.
It was a great view! There weren’t many visitors on the 4th of July either. You can hike or drive up the mountain and have a picnic- I would highly recommend it! After our Lake George adventure it was time for ice cream. We headed to my favorite place, The Ice Cream Man.
After our sweet treat we headed back to my house quickly before heading in town for fireworks. Congress park filled up quickly, but we got a pretty good spot!
It was a great day! By the end of the night I was exhausted, we did so much in 12 hours!
