After lots of walking, we found ourselves in Little Italy. We were still kinda full from Breakfast, but put our name in at Lombardi’s anyway (there was an hour wait!). After putting out name in, we wandered around Little Italy some more, stopping in Ferrara’s to admire the amazing pastry. After about 45 minutes of wandering around, we went back to Lombardi’s to wait for our table. It was packed! But SO good, as usual.
After splitting our large pizza, we ventured down to the subway and started our great search for the Rockefeller Christmas Tree. Sadly, we weren’t the only ones that were in NYC to see the iconic tree, the streets were MOBBED. A lot of the time was spent in mosh-pit like crowds of people. It was uncomfortable, to say the least. But on our way, we found ourselves in front of Crumbs Bakery, one of the most highly recommended bakery’s in the city! I got myself a chocolate whoopie pie, and Chris settled on a Peanut Butter cup cupcake.
After a couple more hours of walking, we were exhausted. We ended up taking the subway back to battery park to rest up before walking back to whole foods to drool over the hot bar choices. I loaded my box up with everything that looked good, and we walked back to the apartment to hang out and put up our tired feet.
We ended up splitting the Crumbs cupcake that Chris got earlier for dessert (like we really needed dessert!)
After all of this amazing food and walking, I passed out at around 10pm. I’m such a party pooper! I didn’t even get to see my beloved Paul Rudd on SNL! Oh well, thank god for Hulu & Prime Time on demand!
Stay tuned for my next post about all of the amazing NYC sites!!
