This has been a fabulous long weekend! It is also the beginning of my first “spring break” since being hired working a teachers schedule. I still can’t believe I have the next week off! On my agenda: getting bridesmaid dress altered, a bit of spring cleaning & lots of relaxing. Oh, and probably watching about 2 seasons of Psych– anyone else out there watch it? I started from the beginning recently and am LOVING it. I want to eat tacos with Shawn and Gus and then go get pineapple smoothies.
Workouts of the week:
S: 2 mile dog walk // post bachelorette party
M: 3.5 mile treadmill run + upper body weights
T: injured — tweaked back after not stretching properly after run day prior
W: injured — still sore, feeling a bit better
TH: elliptical – 30 minutes
F: elliptical – 45 minutes
S: 5 mile treadmill run
My back was wonky this week because I am a moron. I know that if I run, I need to properly stretch or I have a good chance that I will hurt myself. This particular case was very similar to when I had sacroiliac joint pain last year. What happens is my hamstrings get tight, which makes my hips tight, which eventually makes my lower back hurt.
