I love a good book, who doesn’t? I always try to use the summer as a time to catch up on reading and actually read books for personal pleasure. During the school year I generally don’t have time to read other than was is assigned to me.
During my class last night we got off topic and started talking about what homes would look like without bookshelves. Do you have them in your home? I personally have three bookshelves right in my bedroom. Without them my space would feel empty and lonely. I think of my books as friends that I keep dear. Here is my favorite library that I found on pinterest…doesn’t it look comfortable and cozy? A welcoming space where imagination and naps are welcomed.
What are you reading? I have been working this book for the past couple weeks but fall asleep almost 5 minutes later. I need to get in bed earlier! The story has been really interesting so far. The book is told from the perspective of nine year old Lawrence. As the “man of the family” Lawrence watches over his depressed mother and his little sister Jemima as they travel to Rome to escape the threats of their father. Lawrence shares his excitement of traveling, the fears that his father could show up, as well as his genuine concern for his mother and his pet hamster, Hermann.
