Recently I have discovered that red wine is pretty delicious. I was never a wine drinker before (aka anytime previous to this month). I have found that Pinot Noir is my favorite by far, and that is probably because it tastes like spiked juice. I tend to like the sweeter stuff, but hopefully my tastes will improve. Chris’s Dad makes a lot of wine himself, so I am lucky enough to at least have someone to ask for recommendations and ask questions when I don’t know the difference between Merlot and Cabernet. What about you? Do you like wine? What is your favorite? I have really enjoyed Mirassou wines, and Turning Leaf isn’t bad either. I have a lot more on my list to try!
Also, let’s talk about soda. I have recently given up the stuff. At first I was trying to just go one week, mostly because it is on my list of 101 things to do it 1001 days. After the one week was up, I waited until dinner and cracked open a diet coke. I had about half of it before realizing that I wasn’t even enjoying it. It didn’t taste like much, and the after taste bugged me. So I dumped the rest out. Here is over a week later and I haven’t thought about it much since. How odd is it that I can go from drinking diet soda pretty regularly to switching to mainly water? I always drank a lot of water, but enjoyed a diet soda occasionally. I have noticed improvements in my skin as well..any connection? Who knows.
Anyway, I still have my coffee in the morning, with 2 packets of splenda… I will probably try to phase that out sometime soon too. What do you guys use as replacements? Sugar in the raw? Agave? Please let me know!!
